Facebook rolled out several new updates and features this week.

Groups - Users, members and administrators can now view who has seen each post and updates.
Events - Users can choose to access their events in a calendar or list format, and respond to them without having to leave the page. The page also features suggested events, which are based on a user's friends, Fan Pages liked, places checked in, and apps used.
Notifications - Weddings and celebrations are now part of the list of reminders (birthdays and apps) displayed in the top right corner of the news feed.
Timeline for Pages is coming to mobile devices.

Digg was created in October 2004 by Kevin Rose, Owen Byrne, Ron Gorodetzky and Jay Adelson. Four years later, the company was valued at $164 million.

Digg became part of the Betaworks network on Thursday. The new media company, which owns Bit.ly and SocialFlow, bought the seven-year-old social bookmarking site for $500,000.
